The sewing team of 3 sits at the heart of Nairobi along Mama Ngina Street. The team is led by Morine (below) with whom I communicate directly on the designs to make, African print fabric to use and sizes to make. She ensures that the dresses are perfectly made on time.
The small but mighty team is committed to ensure the dresses have the right cut and perfect fit. On the left is Morine, at the centre is Ruth (at the front) who specializes in cutting the fabric and at the back is Eva who focuses on the sewing part. All of the three are trained seamstresses.
I am lucky to be working with Morine, Ruth and Eva. Besides their good work , they are reliable and trustworthy - this makes it easy and fun as we work remotely. Cheers to our partnership - maisha marefu!
